Curbside Composting Service
Medford, Massachusetts

Medford, Massachusetts

Attention, Medford residents! In partnership with the City of Medford, we are launching a City funded municipal curbside composting program, beginning 7/1/2024.

To be eligible, residents must live at an address with 4 units or fewer. This program has limited enrollment for year one, but eligible residents can secure their spot today by signing up at the preferred vendor rate of $8.99/month.

Eligible active accounts will be transferred over to the municipal program on 7/1/24, for continued weekly service at no cost to the resident.

Those who prefer to join the wait list for the City funded service beginning July 1, 2024 can sign up at medfordcomposts.com.

How it works

Once a week, on your city trash day, we collect your food scraps at the curb and leave you with a fresh compostable liner. When this program transitions to free service, residents will be responsible for purchasing and providing their own liners. Finished compost is available seasonally (typically April through November) for weekly delivery for $3/bag.
